Congratulations and welcome aboard! You're about to undertake a worthy effort and along with completing what we hope will be a significant cycling accomplishment, will be raising money for a great cause.

1. Pick An Event
The first part is to pick an event that you want to complete. This will be the first goal in the process. Get registered early and commit to training so that you're ready to finish the event.

2. Select A Cause
What are you passionate about and how do you want to make a difference? Pick a charity or some cause that hits home. You'll need to get their mailing address and tax ID number (TIN) so that your donations are tax-deductible for your donors.

TIP: Most people are not "comfortable" with the fundraising effort and asking for money. But, if you are committed to your cause, you will have the extra motivation to be successful (and guess what, people will notice your passion and they will be more likely to support your efforts).

3. Build Your Site...
Don't worry, this part is easy... Simply download and complete the Setup Form*. Once completed, e-mail or fax it to the contact indicated at the top of the form. Once received, you'll have your own PWAP donation collection site up and running in no time!

4. Promote To Everyone
Now that you have your site ready, you need to get the word out. Use your e-mail address book, holiday card list, your church bulletin or any other means to get the word out. Call your local paper, chances are they would be willing to write a "human interest" story about your and your effort (you'll be surprised at the number of donations that will come from this type of effort).

All you will need to do is direct donors to this site and tell them to click on the Fundraisers page and find your name. From there, they will be taken to your customized donation site and can pay by credit or debit card. If you get checks, don't worry, we'll show you

5. RIDE!
That's it. Now all you need to do is focus on your training and make sure that you are ready for the big day. Keep an eye on your fundraising site and check it often to see how you are doing on your fundraising efforts.
